The Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art brings art closer to the public ever since 2016, the year they were founded. Michel and Florence de Launoit, Alice van den Abeele and Raphaël Cruyt: together they stand behind this contemporary museum. Making room for art forms which communicate straight to the public is what MIMA does. Simply said, art as a tool to bring together people. Think of street art, internet art or the cartoons of Brecht Van Den Broecke. To breach the gap and research culture 2.0 can be seen as a mission of this institution. In various exhibitions the works, sometimes literally, reached outside the edges of the museum and will continue to do so.
