Sorry for the damage done

With a repetitive method ‘Sorry for the damage done’ reveals a ‘hidden’ collection of photographs, of unauthorized Graffiti and Stickering and their removal. The images all originate from the city of Eindhoven, where a Buffing company kept detailed track of their activities (this was obligatory in the job). The book contains a vast amount of photographs, however they only represent 3% of the actual archive material (up to 50.000 images) and the essay The Destruction of Non Art van Christian Omodeo. The book presents the images chronological and both depicts the before and after shot. With a playful lay-out Vincent Wittenberg and Wladimir Manshanden, respectively spacial designer and street artist, shine a light on the struggles of the Graffiti culture and vandalism from 2005-2013 in the industrial city of Eindhoven. Of Manshanden himself three small Graffiti works appear in the archive/publication.
