De nor

A mobile bar, by Dennis Tyfus, ending up at the edges of the Middelheimmuseum. This installation gets activated in relation to a public. The tribune-shaped sculpture (+ stage area) serves as a multidisciplinary platform for music, art, performance & drinks.The added fences (even doubling the perception of the sculpture parc) to the sculptural ‘bar’ inspired the name: “De nor/The joint”. However this work finds itself inside an art institution, it questions the boarders of it and creates public space inside the sculpture park. This is fitting inside ‘Experience traps’, an expo investigating the park as the social space, where the work is part of. As well with its location in the Middelheimmuseum, The nor/The joint attempts to break out the boarders and reach towards towards the public. Before ending up in Middelheim “The Nor” travelled around and had another stopover in The Hague.
