As part of the CityLeaks Urban Art Festival, On/Off offered a workshop on sustainable furniture construction and strategies for artistic (unauthorized) intervention in public space. Locations to be intervened were jointly identified and concepts for site-specific furniture were developed. The main focus was on found objects and recycled building materials. The workshop resulted in various smaller and larger pieces of furniture at various locations in Cologne’s Agnesviertel. For the workshop and later public use as Urban Common On/Off designed the “Mobile Workshop”. A mobile workbench consisting of two modules filled with various tools for processing wood and textiles.
