As part of “Antwerp baroque 2018. Rubens inspires.” 4 baroque murals are added to the historic city centre of Antwerp. Yvon Tordoir invited 3 other artists to participate and give color to the city. The other artists providing large scale murals are Smug, Astro and el Mac. They represent with 4 different styles, different motives from Baroque. From the trompe l’oeil effect to the use of dark and light etching techniques. Antwerp Baroque 2018 shines a light on Piet Paul Rubens as the personification of Baroque and runs from June 2018 until January 2019. During this period an vast amount of expos, city walks & talks are foreseen.
