YAKAMOZ

ArtyFarty Gallery participated in TRANSURBAN 2017 with the group exhibition YAKAMOZ. Works by Christopher Kielin, among others, were shown under this poetic title. He studied design and photographed until he finally opted for painting. His expressive portraits find great international resonance. Furthermore, paintings by Gizem Winter, who works in many techniques, could be seen. She masters portrait drawing as well as comic-like illustrations and paints murals. The Cologne artist Daniel Lisson also showed excerpts from his versatile oeuvre, which ranges from restrained illustrations to crazy fantasy figures in colorful execution. For the exhibition, the Düsseldorf collective THEK built a kiosk together in which publications such as fanzines from their own publishing house were shown. Finally, the urban art group Filthy Rags from Bulgaria presented itself. It has its roots in lettering, which it further develops in numerous variants. In addition to the fonts, the three “Rags‟” are mainly focused on colours.
