At the edge of town, in the industrial borderline of Hasselt, what could be the largest QR code so far, pops up on the side wall facing the water of Quartes. In black and white, yet surrounded by massive color patterns a 20 by 25 m mural by Felipe Pantone relates with its graphical esthetics more to digital art then conventional graffiti. It took Pantone 3 days to finish. The backdrop, existing out of straight colorful lines, gives contrast to the code and its general surroundings. The possibility exist to scan the work, this participatory aspect of the artwork refers back to itself as you are guided to a website, counting how many people have scanned the code, at location or with the use of a photograph. The work originated as part of Motif in 2017, an urban art festival existing in 2017 in Hasselt, taking over town.
